Lease of life: Costume, Hair and Skin

Emily Pizzey, costume maker, supplied me with her 1940s dress so that I could then go in and pad out her figure slightly with more pieces of foam to make her look in shape underneath her dress.
The fake hair is made from a brown synthetic hair taken from a hairband and was an experiment on my part. Knowing the hair had to be able to stay put I used liquid latex to secure it in place to her head. Her face and mouth replacements were painted with matt and gloss acrylics - the gloss of which was used on her lips.

Skin toning, hair applied, mouth replacements painted, sleeves added.
