MD6001 Week 1: Modernism

Modernism and the effects it has had on art history has been influentual and inspiring through the imagery created by artists, however the work is by no means conventional when it comes to some of the content of the artwork created. Using art in ways that hadn't been expored before were challenging forms of art through the rejection of conventions and were intended on provoking audiences by presenting ideas based on the social context of the art itself.

Having been given a client project related to the promotion of a cultural related product is significant when comparing the conventions of modernism with the intentions of this studio project. Working for ADUNA will mean that promoting the brand will be essentially gathering a reaction from consumers in a way that presents ideas and educates the potential consumers of the brand. Today was about experimenting with the colours of fruit and various different ways of making fruit look appealing when considering lighting and colour control with the chosen subject.
