Further Concept Art for Film Noir Imagery
Though this project isn't entirely focused on referencing conventions of film noir, I feel it necessary to consider the imagery within the film to reflect that of the genre. This sketch plays with the use of light and shadow being steaked by blinds within films such as Hitchcock's 'Psycho' (1960) and later to be used in John Carpenter's 'Halloween' (1978) followng the same film genre. There are of course earlier examples of this imagery, however my sketch is based on the climax of Carpenter's 'Halloween' when Jamie-Lee Curtis is hiding in a wardrobe.
