Tate Modern: Captivating artwork
Much of the interesting work within the Tate Modern focused on the use of film projection; similar to that of a cinema. Omer Fast's "The Casting" used 4 projections on two screens; both of which were double sided projections. On one side is the footage of two men discussing certain events of a man's life and the other uses the audio and creates a visual recreation/interpretation of what the man is describing. It was interesting having two alternate perspectives in that room, depending on which side of the screen you were on. Having a love for cinema itself, it was interesting to see a fresh idea as to how a narrative, in terms of audio, can be interpreted in such a way that it enables an artist to recreate the scenario on the other side of the screen. Taking this experience and considering certain techniques to use in my own work could possibly relate to the presentation within the Aduna studio project in terms of the composition and layout of the advert.
